Wow !!! That is scary !!!  Thanks for sharing.

This is the 2nd Hemi in it. When Julius and Dave bought the Daytona and brought it back to the States he took the Hemi out and put it into an original Hemi b-body then put the 69 440 HP in it.. Later on after I got the car, I bought\installed another 426 Hemi

And soon I'll be swapping out the original 4.10s out for 3.54s.. It'll make the Dodge's trips down the highway even more pleasant...

I always knew that GOD was/is a Moparman...

Was it Dodge City or Plymouth Church? :o

Both very fine establishments indeed... :patriot: :notworthy:

Its a strange time we find ourselves in at the moment.

Driving a 50 year old car with a 7.2 litre engine, that does 10 mpg is seen as eco-madness.
We have all done it in the 'World of Mopar' that we frequent.

Our justification is we only 'take the car out on Sundays' to church, or the diner...

To me and many others, that is acceptable, but to some its NOT!

I personally kept my American car use down to 10 miles during the week and maybe 50 miles at the weekends.

Since the Pandemic, (March2020) I have not driven any vehicle more than a mile or two and less than once a month!

I believe my 'carbon footprint' is very healthy now and look forwards to driving my 1971 Plymouth GTX very soon...

It will be interesting to see how 'others' in my Neighbourhood feel about that...(ECO WORRIERS) :boxing_smiley: :spank: :ohhthesarcasm:

LIVE AND ''LET LIVE'' :scratchchin: :shruggy: :pity:

My Moparmate in London Town drives his 1965 Fury Wagon 383ci, most days!

Think he has 'clocked-up' 30,000 miles since owning this fine example of Plymouth... :coolgleamA: (bad Carbon footprint)

He has had a mixed response to this from 'ECO Hooligan' to 'WOW' what a fine piece of American TIN!!! :2thumbs:

Not really a Muscle car but has big plans for a 440 and drag strip duties... :drive:

I know you are all asking yourself ''what is this got to do with AERO''  ???

He will soon be the owner of a 1969 F8-Charger-500 440ci 4-speed lol... :popcrn: :popcrn: :popcrn:
(Says he's gonna drive it everywhere, when its road legal lol)

Think the 4-speed will give him an extra mile or two to the gallon lol :pigsfly:

I still can't believe 'how big' these cars are! (C-bod wagons)

It fills my driveway and makes my wife's daily driver look like a dodgem car lol... :patriot: :bump: :fart2: (Japanese FART car)

A little splash, not a bigger splash...

There is a local guy who drives his 4-speed 383 Fury everywhere too...

A nice tribute to the very rare Nascar C-body... :2thumbs:

ps I sold my 65 Fury, as I could never see myself driving it, how sad... :'( :'( :'(

I was trying to get this thread 'back on TRACK', with little success... :slap: :slap: :slap:

So I found these C--Bods which are rather cool and just pre AERO?

I'm sure one of those guys in pic-2 have owned and worked on Wingcars (69-70)... :popcrn:

Race cars have the K frame welded to the rails...
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Mytur Binsdirti

What was the reason that the race oil pumps have the filter angled upward?

odcics2

Allows the engine to be lower in the chassis.
A dry sump setup also required.

Better handling, lower hood line.
Faster car!

I see said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw. I also see that they are using a right side motor mount on the left, which I imagine is for the same reason.

odcics2

Yes, and faster to install too.
The race hemi dry sump cars have a unique mount setup, unlike production cars.
The mount looks like a horseshoe, attached to the water pump housing.

Notice the lower cone valance ends up flush with the race crossmember on DC-93.
