Can someone tell me if the factory originally used an insulator strip underneath the two gas tank straps on the fuel tank. Application is for a '69 Dodge Charger Daytona. Aftermarket ones are available in the same material as the insulator pad on the top of the tank. Used between the tank and the trunk floor.  I don't think they did because the Mopar parts book doesn't show any insulator in the illustration, but I'm not 100% sure. Makes more sense that they would not use an insulator there because a metal on metal contact between the strap and the tank would provide a better ground for the fuel tank. I'm just trying to be OEM correct for my Daytona.
