Hello all,

I'm installing front power windows on my charger.  I'm not sure where the rubber boot goes in the door jab. Anyone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction. A picture would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Don't be fooled by body/door "dimples", I did my power window conversion many years ago on my 70 Charger with a factory set up and grommet/hole location/size templates made off the donor vehicle, the grommet holes are in locations that aren't always "dimpled" best to look at original cars (good luck!) or approximate using pics and scaling the dimensions as best as possible...no I no longer have the templates, sorry....I could help with some dimensions if need be as I still have the car, if your converting your manual crank Charger and only have the harness/regs/motors/switches, you'll find there's a lot of changes you need to make to the doors to fit the switches/door panels, the rear regs are a completely different ball game than the crank set up, hopefully you have all the parts?

the "up" &"down" stops are different also...at least they were on my 66

Thanks all.

I figured where it needs to go, won't be exactly stock location especially because I don't want to take the door off.

I hear you about you got it figured out.

That being said here is a few shots of my original locations and plugs.
Notice the hatchet job done at the factory for the hole for the power switches. From what I understand that was status quo at the time. Hack away! lol

Thanks for the pics Kent, I only needed to remove an 1" by 1" of metal from the door to fit the switches on the passenger door. They are OEM style switches rather than ugly GM ones. I only did the front windows. I really didn't need or want to do the rears too.
