Trunk panels question on 3rd gen.

Anyone know if this piece I marked with the marker in the corner has a lip on it?

Basically looking for the order they go together. Its hard to tell on mine as all the rot was in those spots....

I know the trunk pan has a lip that goes up against the rear panel. but the extensions don't from what I can tell in photos.

So is it rear cross member and cross member  extension. Then trunk extension flat on top of the cross member extensions, then that panel in the corner comes down with a rolled lip over the extension? Or do extension have a lip that goes up against it?

In each corner of the trunk floor the factory left a big gap between the extension and the rear cross member, as much as 1/2 maybe more.  Then they plugged the gap with a BIG wad of seam sealer.  So the very back edge of the trunk extension just hangs out in the air, If you don't have the sealer in.  This is s typical rust spot on these cars.  I welded a little patch in to fill  the hole.  Thew a little bit of sealer. prime and paint. Here's a pic of it.

That's not a 71 right? I saw a few patches like that on mine so maybe it is similar. Maybe that panel with my marker on it just goes straight down and doesn't have a lip on it then.

That panel was being made for 71/72 not for 73/74 thought ( if any real diff does exist ) by AMD. But dunno if they still are making those. We made those locally at the body shop for my 74. Not really hard to make.

We even made the W23 stamping LOL



We also made the quarter end cap panel just didn't show on previous pic... which it was also available just to 71/72 by AMD ( this is really different from 71/72 )






Of course these were finished better after welding up.

Yeah I don't think they make them anymore.  I know c2c fabrications makes the triangle piece at the top.  It's not all one piece right? Those are two pieces welded together.

Yes, two pieces welded together, but welded together on car, once everything is aligned, not welded together and then to the car.
