I have always had multiple cars at the the same time, but there was always one I considered my go-to commuter/grocery getter. For fun, what were yours?

I have always been really thrifty when it comes to my daily. I think maybe because it justifies my expenses on hobby cars, which also serve as backup part-time drivers.
Here is my list.

1979-1984 Green 69 Charger, 318/auto.
1985 -1985 Orange 69 Roadrunner, 440/4 speed.
1986-1987 Blue & White 73 Chevy Luv, Buick V6/auto.
1988   -1988 Black and Silver 76 Power Wagon 360/auto.
1989   -1989 Brown 74 Charger, Slant 6/auto. $150 car.
1990-1993 Brown 76 Volare Wagon, 318/4 speed.
1994-1998 Blue 72 Charger, 318/auto.
1998-2002 Orange 71 D100 Shortbed, Slant 6/4 speed.
2003-2006 Red & Silver 89 D250 360/auto.
2007   -2007 Turquoise 71 Fury III, 360/auto.
2008   -2008 Silver 07 Ram 2500 4x4 CTD/6 speed manual.
2009   -2009 Tan 78 Chevy C20, 350/auto.
2010-2011 Green 05 Kawasaki KLR650.
2012-2018 Black 07 Susuki Vstrom DL1000.

God! And I thought I had too-many vehicles. My fleet seems immense at the moment, but that's because a I have a newer driver and I'm letting him learn on vehicles I don't give a hoot about.  Let's see, oldest is a 2001 Ram 1500 4x4 truck, next is a 2002 Isuzu Trooper, next is a 2004 Volvo S60 sedan, then a 2006 Honda Civic 4-dr, and finally a 2006 Mitsu Montero. We use the (now mostly beater) 4x4s in winter, and drive the fuel sippers in summer (at least that's the plan). The other two are the "vintage cars", a '68 Charger and the '60 Seneca.

Now it's 07 Dakota Club Cab and a TW200 in support of my 70 Charger.  :2thumbs:

As much as I hate to admit it I drive this 2002 Corolla 5 speed a lot. It sips gas!  I keep my Cummins Dodge for weekend and nice drive/trips. I take good care of the Corolla and plan to drive it until it gives up the ghost.

I have had in Vzla just my Charger soooo, well, it has been my driver the same as my hobby. When it was parked for some upgrade or fix, I drove my Dad's ( RIP ) 1975 W116 Mercedes 280S. Both still in Vzla and I hope someday will ship my Charger to Spain. The Mercedes won't be shipped.

Here in Spain I'm driving a 1998 P38 Range Rover 2.5 DSE ( Diesel ) which I just use when leaving the city for whatever reason ( job or pleasure ), but is really rare I really use it to drive around the city with the good public transportation we get here ( and the fuel prices ). There is a heavy iddle shaking when gets hot which is driving me CRAZY, but I can't spend more money on it, so as far it keeps driveable yet, will have to live with that untill get the money ( no job, and if the pandemic situation doens't get better dunno what will be about my life next ).

This was my daily driver for 2020, bought it outright and sold it for more money, it was too impractical for a daily.

You do know those yellow "guards" are there for protecting the front spoiler from shipping of the vehicle?

My '74 Power Wagon that I bought almost 47 years ago.
Our 2009 Challenger Classic R/T.
Our 2017 Durango R/T.

It's Dodge, Dodge, Dodge and Dodge between my wife and myself.
And if you add my daughters and my son's, it's Dodge, Dodge and Dodge.
That's 7 total

I've tried 5 times to post pictures. I think I gave up on that.

KurtfromLaQuinta

I'll try again...

My truck, Challenger, Durango...

Yep, I ordered it five months ago, took delivery of it a month ago. The dealer asked if I wanted them left on because we have drainage ditches everywhere. Haven't really needed them though.

Our Challenger isn't driven as much as our Durango, or my truck.
Our Durango is our big cruising vehicle. And it's my wife's daily driver.  It's been on the entire Route 66 run. All the way to Chicago from California.
The Challenger has been to British Columbia. And other miscellaneous road trips in the last 12 years.
My truck has been a lot of places. Alaska twice. Mexico a few times. And I drive it everyday for work pretty much. Not to mention numerous off road excursions in the last 46.8 years.

Ha! yep, don't see many of these, even back in the 90's.  My Dad had one in the early 80's and also had a 77 Lancia Scorpion that was his toy. I love Mopars/Chargers but since my Dad came here from Italy in the early 70's, he influenced me with the sports cars (Rally and F1).

Here is a shot of it after my first attempt at body work and a cheap $250 paint job.

Since 2005 my daily ride has been the 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 that I got as a new leftover. Several years ago I started looking to replace it with another truck, but with truck prices as high as they are & coming with a mortgage, I gave up & put some money into my truck & kept it. Long story short, I bought my first car to use as a daily driver since 1988.  :o  It's been trucks ever since.

Took me about three full months of looking & driving several configurations to filter out what I wanted & to also avoid the overpriced, worn out junk that people are getting rid of. I drove a couple of AWD 6 cylinder ones, a couple of AWD & RWD V8 Hemis, & finally settled on a 2013 300C Hemi, RWD with 48,700 miles that was loaded with every option except for the sunroof which I actually didn't want.  :coolgleamA:

White wasn't my first color choice but I do like it.

I normally drive the oldest and most worn out vehicles around my place. Sometimes it is what she drove in the ground. Then I get a few more years out of them. Now I am driving a low mileage 1991 S10 4x4 v6 a friends elderly uncle left her that I bought from her.. I will drive it as long as it is going.

2005.       Divorced.
2005-11   Retained 1996 Buick Century station wagon. Among the best domestic cars ever owned.
2005-17   Retained 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. Great truck, totaled by my daughter.
2011-16   2008 Honda Civic coupe. Loved it.
2016-18   2008 Honda Civic sedan. Totaled.
2018+     2014 Honda Civic sedan. Great car, runs for 9 cents a mile.

Howdy T Cows,                   20 November 2021

We like your Troka, it has a practical look to it and would guess it's very dependable.

Most of our vehicles are in Phoenix, the only one remaining in Texas is our 09 Ram 1500 Hemi LQC PU which is the DD Here. In Phoenix we have 2 Stangs, 87 and 96, 08 F350 Crew Cab 4X Diesel, 00 CV Interceptor, 68 Hemi RR, 69 6-PK SB. The 96 Stang and the F350 are the daily drivers there, mostly the Stang.

Hopefully, everything will soon be in Phoenix.

Best Always
