Previous owners in USA

Hello!

I have a question
I'm very, very interested in the history of my car. It's a cream-beige Charger '70 318/727 that came from Los Angeles two weeks before i bought it here in Sweden in may -04..
The car had a lot of dents(?) and not much rust..
Do anyone know anything about my car? Or maybe have any idea who has owned it in USA before i bought it?
Or maybe have any tips, how I could do, to get contact with any previous owner(s)?

When I during the restoration this spring, was fixing some rust behind the backwheel,
I found a gold-plate between the floortrunk and the rearfender, with a name on: "Built especially for David Gist 1991"
Maybe a previous owner? Or maybe you know anything about it??
Maybe i should post the VIN number of my Charger?

Please contact me, if you have any ideas, or tips how I should do to get contact with anybody who has owned this car..

Another question I have, is if anyone can tell me if there's any National Road Administration, any site on the webb ? Where you can enter the registration number, and get a list of owners of the car?
