A car that needs another 50 grand put into it is not a good value with a purchase price of 60 grand.

I agree. Really nice that it's an original R/T SE with nice options as well as being a white hat special car. To me for 60 grand you should be done already and everything should work but these days people are getting this kind of money for these cars. I wish em luck!

I'd want an original paint survivor for $60k but at least this one is incredibly well optioned to make putting money in a bit more justifiable.

I don't think I would look at it as needing $50k dumped into though, assuming it's not chock full of rot and bondo (which looking at the chassis and CA ownership history I would imagine it is not) then I see a trunk pan, re-spray, seat covers, and clean up job to have a very very nice driver. I struggle with the attitude that every car needs a nut/bolt concourse resto, I would be 100% fine with that car just resprayed and cleaned up a bit or hell just drive it as is.

If you want to do a thorough job on this car, price up the cost of a base/clear paint job, new suspension parts, go through the brake system, interior, wheels, tires, engine & transmission rebuild, exhaust system, fuel system, a/c system, steering system, installation of trunk pan, vinyl roof, radiator, plating & thousands more in incidentals and you'll find that 50 grand is a conservative estimate.

If do things on the cheap and paint it yourself, you'll save 10 -15 grand, but if someone actually does pay asking price for this car, they've got money.
