Here's a Superbird on Bring a Trailer that someone may like....  (like me!)   :popcrn:

Montreal Wing Car

No reserve, it's at 120K with 1 day to go...
Not the best venue for a musclecar...

Nose is bent on the leading edge.   That will cost some $ to fix.    Lots of detail stuff way off.   Sloppy masking on the jambs.  It did not come all the way apart, which is not necessarily bad.   Could be made into nice driver when sorted out.

Agree that no reserve is risky.

What is with the second air dam behind the front spoiler?    :eek2:

It appears the wing washers are installed a stud hole or two too far forward. Or is it an optical illusion? Albeit a simple fix, I wonder why both look to be installed incorrectly. I don't own a Superbird so I may be out of line here. Correct me if I am wrong.

If I sold a couple of my cars and gave a lot of blood, I would bid on it...  :yesnod:

Yeah.  This bird is a real POS.  No one should be bidding on it.    :icon_smile_wink:

Lots of issues for that money.

No kidding. As they say, there's a buyer for every car, and buyers are not always caring to "beware"......

Shiny paint wins.    I think the buyer lit about 60k on fire, but that's just me.

Redbird

Whatever major and minor nitpicks we see here, the seller did very well. Good for him.

It seems like a lot of money to me.

The seller was able to use a mix of most of the left over screws and bolts on the grill frames. Maybe if the new owner tightens them down the grills will straighten out.

From looking at the door latches in the rear quarters and other details, I wonder what it looked like before it was fixed up?

I was at a car show this summer and saw a Superbird that I had seen partially on blocks 30 or so years ago. It looked nice. I knew some history on the car and I sent the current owner some old pictures. He was rightfully proud of his car. I told him and I genuinely felt he had done a good job. It did not have the original motor, and had so many details of questionable origin. He told me he had 150K in it. It made me realize how hard it is to bring a car back to life these days. Real fender scoops are non existent. Diamond pieces at the rear window are non existent too. So people want to get things done and they need to go to reproducers. If someone did not have access to original cars 40 years ago it is hard to imagine how an original car looked when it was slightly used.
