Is anybody going to the Mopars in May carshow in Riverside, CA this Sunday 05-21-06?

Hey I went! I saw your Charger, awesome car! I was there with my General Lee. I
didn't win anything but then again i didn't think I would. How did you do?

It was nice to see your Charger there, a lot of great ones there this year. Where
did you drive out from? You mentioned to me you drove through a little rain. It
was nice to see that the show didn't get rained on.

ChargerRob

Thanks for the compliments. I didn't win anything either. Oh Well :shruggy:
I liked your General Lee. Too bad we weren't able to park next to each other.
It would have been a great photo. I drove from Azusa which is about 48 miles from
where the show was. I hit a little rain coming out but nothing big. Did you take any
pictures. I have about four cause my camera took a dump on me. :flame:
I'll post them later.   Robert

Too bad you didn't win, really nice Charger you got there. I only took a few pics myself
and they were of my Charger, go figure. If you want to see a few you can check them
out here...

I entered in the "Special Interest" section... I didn't even hear them mention an award for
this group? This was my first show ever so I didn't know what to expect. It was a lot of
fun though.

ChargerRob

Go figure, I entered in the stock 68-70 B-body group.
The only thing not stock on my car are the rims and electronic ignition.
Can you believe the guy judging my car told me that the car was
excellent but not having a spare tire was going to cost me.  :flame:
What a D^%K  :icon_smile_dissapprove:  He also mentioned that my
Jack should be painted because it has a little rust.  :-\
What can I say, this was only my second car show. Maybe I'll have
better luck next time.  ;D

Here are four pictures of my car that my crappy camera actually focused on.
I had to delete 14 pics, they were out of focus. Next show I  will have a
better camera. I had one of cantankerous's GL but it didn't come out.  :(

Hey ChargerRob...

I emailed the car club Inland Mopars to see what happened to the category "Special Interest"
at the show. I heard no mention of this category when the awards were handed out. Here is
what they had to say...

John;

I know the judges said they didn't find any cars in the Special Interest
class. I'm guessing what happened was you were parked in with the
B-Bodies not in Special Interest.  I will check the day of show
registration forms to see which class you were registered in.  I haven't
seen the judging sheets yet but I haven't finished unloading from the
show.  I will get back to you.

This really is too bad becasue I paid my $35 just like evryone else and they didn't even know
I was there. I swear this car show is rigged. unless you are in their little club or click you
don't have a chance. Just look at your car. it's beautiful!

My buddy entered there 2 years ago and they disqualified him becasue he enetered in the
wrong category. When I pulled upto the gate, the guy there that collected my money
suggested the category for me. After that, they told me where to park. I didn't know I
had to do their job too. Maybe if I did their job, like juge cars, we both would have won.

Maybe I'm being a little too harsh on them but, I paid my $35 and I have nothing to show
for it.

ChargerRob

I totally agree with you. Do you know that most if not all the PT cruiser there at the show
won awards. Also, the group of guys in front of us won four awards between them. They
were from a San Diego Mopar Club.  :rotz:
I dont need an award to know that my car is nice. I got the people here at DC.com to tell
me that.  :icon_smile_big:
