Fuel smell

Is it normal to open your garage and it smells like raw gas? It's not leaking, but whenever I walk by the Charger I smell gas.
It also sometimes smells like gas when I am driving, I am running Fi-Tech, is it possible it is getting too much fuel pressure? I do not have a fp gauge set up on it.

with my new Fitech, granted I've only done the engine brake in so far, the only fuel smell I get is near the throttle body itself, if i've given it key-on and its primed the line. however I have a II-Much VSB vent, Tanks inc tank, Teflon hoses and new stainless fuel lines to back it up.
on my previous project, 51 chevy truck LS swap, we had fuel smell near all the hoses themselves, but at the time they were cheap hoses and open filter vent line.

Mine can reek of raw fuel from the fi-tech once in a while when i'm driving, enough to make your eyes water. The smell I am getting is in the back of the car, pop the garage door open and bam, and even when it's outside sometimes if I pop the trunk it smells like gas, wondering if its not vented right or gas cap seal?

how is your tank vented now? is the vent tube below the quarter on the fill pipe going down into the frame rail as stock? how hot is the garage? if its hot in the garage it might be causing the gas in the tank to vaporize and push out?

I linked the filler neck vent to the tankinc top vent, and tee'd them into my ii-much vent can. i haven't had and fuel smell outside the engine bay with this setup.

Not 100% i'll have to look, could the gas cap seal being bad cause issues?

With the factory fill tube 1/8th inch venting tube running out the fill tube top and down through the trunk floor the filler cap seal is to stop water.  :scratchchin: If injecting system circulates fuel the return stream could be generating excess vapor.

Last time I drove the car was Tuesday, I opened garage last night and smelled gas, not really strong but I would assume I should not smell it when I have not driven in days?

It might be your fuel lines.
Did you use a standard braided line (either stainless steel or a nylon braided type of covering)?
If so, this can allow fuel vapor to pass thru and give you the gas smell in the garage.

For zero gas vapor smell, you can upgrade to the PTFE fuel line.
It can be nylon braided or stainless outer covering, but has a plastic internal liner.
This works well in all E85 fuel usage and regular pump gas usage.
You'll need PTFE specific fittings which can be a little pricey also.

I upgraded to this on my mustangs over the years to eliminate fuel smell and to allow me to run E85.

Here's a link to them -
