Saginaw pump question

I bought a March billet power steering bracket and by the looks of it I need a pump with a rear mounting stud. The pump I currently have is basically new but doesn't have the stud as it mounts to the existing bracket from the front.

Is it just a matter of removing the pump from the reservoir, drilling out the stud location in the reservoir, and reassemble the pump with a gasket in that location?
