How much difference would it make to you if the car had new wiring front to back or original 50 year old wiring ?:shruggy:

Don't think I would care either way. I can see benefits of both.

Agreed.  If the rest of the car looked iffy (a project) then i'd rather have original wiring and upgrade it myself.   But if it is a quality restoration then it should be fine assuming they used replacement factory harnesses vs. custom.   If full custom, i'd want a wiring diagram and to take a close look.

That is a tough question

If there were 3 cars all exactly the same side by side
One car all original factory wires
One car brand new factory reproduction style wires
One car new wire but just a generic kit for all cars

Think I would pay more for the car with the new factory style harness in it max $1000 more
Would still like the all original car
Would not even want the car with the generic kit in it as it would be difficult to figure out any problems later on so would want to pay less or look for a different car

I agree, $1000 is a fair amount to pay for the additional value for having new factory type wiring.  On a 70 its about $1800 to buy all the harnesses.
(Not including Pro Touring/Race or custom cars)  I would also deduct $2500 or more for a car with any of the generic kits out there installed.
My first Charger was a Stock Car.

As long as either wiring harness was working properly, it would make zero difference to me.
Just finding one of these cars is rare enough!  LOL

I wish I could find one that I could get that deep into looking at the wiring harness. I drive 9 hours one way to only find small paint bubbles that the owner "never saw those before" 😡

New wiring is a plus.   I don't know how much premiums I'd place on a price.   I know I'm too lazy to repair harnesses only to have them look like trash anyway...   it reminds me of myself at 17.

I tried to reuse as much original wiring from Sinnamon as possible but I gave up...   Bought the main new harnesses from YO and have been chasing a few electrical problems since putting it on the road.   An ebay guy from Wisconsin makes repro harnesses of smaller circuits - pricey but they look good.
