Funny, I haven't been on here for a while and I am looking for a like button to respond to the comments.   .  I am definitely a hoarder. I only flip non Mopar parts or cars to support my habit. If I sell any Mopar parts I really regret it later. The cost gets higher, the condition gets worse and the parts just get harder to find.

I am more of a rescuer of cars, I get them running a driving then sell to a loving home. Never any Mopars or parts though, those stay tucked away from prying eyes

Nah, my three sons would never allow that. There's only one car they might get rid of because it scares them all so bad when I drive it- my LO23 Dart.

thats what my three son's say also , but their mother begs to differ     all of them have me dead and buried and the cars they want picked out .

Clint, your not a hoarder. your a collector. I am a hoarder. I keep everything, every paper, every pic, every magazine I have ever bought. I have every newspaper I have ever bought. I have issues.

Given that, I recognize that my tendencies do indeed seem to differ from yours! Lol. However, I don't like to think of myself as a "collector", because that term (to me) conjures up ideas of people who just buy certain cars for their perceived, presumed rising,  values, and often are just rich people who really don't even appreciate the cars they buy, and have just a superficial level of knowledge about them. I would be insulted if people thought of me that way. I fall in love with everything about the cars I buy, and I work on them all myself, race many of them, and share them with others. I maintain all of my own, which I'll admit, gets to be a bit much sometimes. But yeah, this questions needs more options for answers! I'm certainly not a flipper!

However, I don't like to think of myself as a "collector", because that term (to me) conjures up ideas of people who just buy certain cars for their perceived, presumed rising,  values, and often are just rich people who really don't even appreciate the cars they buy, and have just a superficial level of knowledge about them. I would be insulted if people thought of me that way. I fall in love with everything about the cars I buy, and I work on them all myself, race many of them, and share them with others. I maintain all of my own, which I'll admit, gets to be a bit much sometimes. But yeah, this questions needs more options for answers! I'm certainly not a flipper!

Oh like you I drive my cars. Every one. Never been afraid to just hop in  one and take off to an event 6-800 miles away. I wouldn't own a car that I couldn't do that with. I don't want or buy cars for their value either. I get what I like and want. Whether that's a car that cost $150k or one that's $10k makes no difference to me. I like what I like and I don't like others. lol

Now I am a hoarder on parts too though. If its a good deal, I tend to pick it up and keep it. Even for parts that go to cars that I don't own, and never intend to own.

.        Yes maybe we need more terms then hoarder or flipper. Never thought of a collector in that way, but I understand the description. That is what I term as a flipper. Someone out to make a buck who doesn't care or appreciate the car for what it is or can be. Many times I have seen cars parted out because the parts pull more money than the car as a whole.

I only have one so I guess I am neither. If I had the money I would be a hoarder. The shame is life will probably make me get rid of the one I have.
