2011 dodge charger

 i have 2011 dodge charger  3.6  i put my car in park push botton  to shut down  will not as my dash reads car not in park  some times it take 10 min to get car to shut down  any one have any idea what is the problem

Welcome to the board.

This seems to be a common problem, a faulty switch in the shifter.

Just FYI, this board is toward to the old classic Charger ( 66-74 mostly and not even 4th and 5th gens ). Maybe somebody could still try to help with your problem. Good luck.
