I wish I could find the source for this document again, as I accidentally re-wrote the smaller version over the large file size several years back   :brickwall:

Keep i mind the photo on the left has the wrong center cap.  The never had a "point" in the middle. I had one NOS in the Mopar bag years ago. It was grainy and had a little bit of a dome shape.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

I believe the wheel was recalled, not the tires, therefore the 15" tires were put on a plain 15" steel wheel with the small nut cover or a full 15" wheel cover - like the Polara. :Twocents:

So why were they recalled, weakness or failure?    Is there any kind of premium on a set that have survived or does the recall status mean they're relegated to junk-lore?

[ŌŌ]ƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖ[ŌŌ] = 68
[ŌŌ][ƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖ][ƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖƖ][ŌŌ] = 69
(ŌŌ)[ƗƗƗƗƗƗƗƗƗƗƗƗƗƗƗƗƗƗ](ŌŌ) = 70

They had a tendency to have the lug nuts loosen up if you didn't watch them and it led to cracking aorund the hub.

Had a set where the ribs on the back of the wheel were beginning to crack towards the center lug area. Eventually, the wheel would fail, leaving the center on the car and the rest not!   The set was painted flat black and was hand stamped P O L I C E on the back.  I believe they were test wheels on Michigan State Police cars.

That would have been an unusal choice for police service.  I mean, I'm sure they trial all kinds of wheels because you have know, right?  But any aluminum rim over the tried and true heavy duty steel ones the cops prefer just seems strange.

These are a nice looking wheel.. Who was reproducing them? Are they still spendy?

Just for testing - probably up n down I-75...     But I know what I saw.  Every other KH wheel I ever saw had no cracks at all...

That is a nice looking wheel, far better than a hubcap.
