Anyone know whats interchangeable between 3rd gen chargers and 70-74 cudas?

I know front frame rails are which work out for me. But as I strip my car I'm seeing more parts that look identical. The firewall looks same and I'm wondering about the door pillars..

Here's one for sale

https://nationalmoparts.com/parts-catalogue?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flexible_flypageV1_WIDE.tpl&product_id=2360&category_id=1765

And here's my rusty drivers one.

Any way we can confirm? Service manuals or anything?

not as far I know. Inner fender, frame rails and radiator core support are. Front floor pans are, but nothing in the middle.

Once again, as far I know

maybe could be used partially ?

these arent the best quality but they are what i have, everything i used on this 72 charger is from a 70 challenger as the application, they arent a perfect match, but with some trimming in very specific areas you can get them to line up very well, including the little piece of the side of the firewall (red arrow) i did this a couple years ago so i dont remember much more than that, but yes its possible.

Nacho-RT74

Yeap I guess is posible. Thinking all the surrounding areas are the same takes to the conclusion  firewall shape is the same bewteen B and E bodies, just the holes, and provisions should be diff on firewall. Starting from this, the side kick panel could fit matching with firewall and with some triming around rocker area and door opening.

My Mopar has many service manuals and parts books.
I have Charger collision manuals and books on my site as well http://www.retrorarities.com/SiteMap.htm
Keep in mind however that just because the part number doesn't match does not mean it won't fit.
Upgrades, revisions etc. will sometimes work with little or no modification.
Just sayin'  ;)

Very true my Spaniard Amigo.  72 and earlier B bodies and E bodies all have the same inner fenders and other parts you mentioned.  73 and later is where we fall off a cliff.

Ok so I'm guessing dimension wise, front end pieces should fit.  Maybe differences in holes and stuff.  But otherwise should work.

Thanks for this.  I think the part I need is 3482102-2 on page 15. Does anyone have the collision manual for e bodies?

But still firewall interchanges in all 71/74, with the 74 steering column hole exception and maybe some other hole around but shape is the same... same as the floor pans, cowl panel. Sooo if this kick panel "fits" on a 71/72 I guess will still "fit"on 73/74s with the same mods

For the most part my I think the panels aren't shot. So I can probably use pieces to fix mine

You could find this interesting, located in Muskegon, Michigan. Not too far from you.

It's an AC firewall, but for the price you can get the panel you need, the frame rail ( I mean because what you found about the bumper bracket bolt and the hit you said found on driver side ) and wichever you can find later. Just the firewall itself can worth the full price of the full assembly. Rest will be gas to pick it up. And more parts to sell parting it out.

So I got in touch with him over the phone. Seems like its a solid piece with about everything I need. It's off a 72. I'm assuming there's no difference between 71 - 72?

Guys also runs his own shop with a great rate. I'm wondering if it may be easier to get my car to him and have him handle the metal work given he's got everything I need.

70 sublime

Not sure the grief of getting the car across the boarder twice would really be worth it

And they would figure out a way to tax what you got done on the way back
Look into it very carefully coming and going and then decide if you still think it is a good idea
Money numbers sound cheaper when they are in US dollars also  :P
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green
