Okay, maybe to be accurate, how about Depressing movies that you have seen.
I love movies. Some are sad but in a good way.
I want to see what you think is a Depressing movie.
Tonight, Less Than Zero was on. Robert Downey Jr played a drug addict deeply in debt that resorted to being a gay prostitute to pay off what he owes. In the end, he dies in what is assumed to be heart failure.
I've never seen it but....Passion of the Christ....Two hours of Jesus being abused and tortured? Really?
Oh yeah...Leaving Las Vegas too. Nicolas Cage gets fired and moves to Las Vegas to drink himself to death.

Gattaca with Ethan Hawk. The entire movie feels dystopian and sad.
Repo Men with Jude Law.
Red Dawn, the original.
What is on your list?

1970 tripleblack gatortop

none of the movies on your list are that depressing to me and i have seen all of them.

what makes me depressed us movies with child abuse.

people with drug or alcohol problems killing themselves slowly...not so much.

Eraserhead. Not sure I count it as seen once though because I turned it off.
1969 Charger 500 #232008
1972 Charger, Grand Sport #41
1973 Charger "T/A"

The fault in our stars - sad and depressing
Requiem for a dream - pretty sad how it all goes down
The lovely bones - just makes you wanna cry your eyes out and and murder the dude

When I was out of work I watched the first and last to gauge my level of depression  ;D

Bullitt - the Charger tragically dies at the end of the chase.  Made me cry.

DMCL - same.

Bikini Carwash Company....Oh where are they now.

Harsh Times with Christian Bale. What a POS movie!

Ishtar with Dustin Hoffman & Warren Beatty. It was supposed to be a comedy but wasn't funny at all, completely unwatchable & made me depressed that I wasted my time watching it. I could've counted blades of grass & be happier.

Rush....Jason Patric and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
They are undercover drug cops. What a shitty way to make a living.

Kern Dog - I saw it (Rush) when it first came out, only once. Was it a green 68 or 69 Charger he drove? Even more depressing was the song Eric Clapton wrote for the movie soundtrack "Tears in Heaven" about his young son who fell from a window and died.   :-\
"Life ain't easy when you rode the short bus."

Kern Dog

Tears in heaven...What a heartbreak.
It was a '68 Charger that Jason Patric drove.

That used to be a standard joke of mine when ask "what movie should we watch" but few people today would get it

I typically try to forget those types of movies . . .  :shruggy:
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

Can't find that movie ???????

tcs69rt

ACUDANUT....just to be clear that movie was called RUSH with Jason Patrick....the movie trailer should be on Youtube.
"Life ain't easy when you rode the short bus."

Kern Dog

Sorry for the confusion.
I was responding to the Eric Clapton song of that title. "Tears in heaven".
The movie was called Rush, not to be confused with the racing movie of the same name.
Jason Patric drove a green '68 Charger, his partner Jennifer Jason Leigh drove a blue AMC Gremlin. The movie was supposed to take place in 1976.

If "Sucker Punch" can be figured out, it aught to mess with your noggin.

The Champ .      My wife [ then girl friend ] made me watch it.  To this day I can't stand Rickey Schroeder . All I remember was it was the best movie. I ever slept though.  Every time I would wake up. All I saw on the screen was Rickey Schroeder crying, Oh champ  champ you can do it or please don't die . :eek2:
