69 Charger full quarter install at rear window?

I have a question about the installation of my full quarter panels

Should the quarters align on the rear window pinch weld?
Or should that inner window opening edge of the quarter align with the window edge of the roof structure?

The drivers side is good, but the pass side is 3/16 inboard.

How much can I get away with?

Pics?

It's always hard to visualize this stuff with only verbal descriptions.

This is the best I have right now. I can get a better pic tonight

Generally speaking, I would focus on the fit of the 'shaped' parts of the repro panel (that is visible on the final assembled car) rather than worrying too much about the flanges.  Some repro panels are actually made with a bit too much flange width and you can trim it off as necessary.

BTW, the reproduction roof skins are known for not fitting all the way down over the inner structure in that area.  (Or at least that was an issue when the roof skins first came out.  AMD does try to fix tooling problems sometimes.)  Guys were fixing it by messing with the inner roof structure pieces a little bit.

Thanks Mike. That makes sense, It's just trying to think of everything that could come back and bite me later on hat is hard!  :brickwall:
It's not easy knowing what you can and can not get away with!
I talked to Bill At AMD and he said they have one in the shop right now and "it laps over about an 1/8 inch but they are all different".
