Maybe not.  Peugot may donate some of it's production for some badge engineered Chryslers.  Chrysler could see a rebirth.  The last owners pretty much just let the marque die out.  Quitting the SRT badged 300's in the US pretty much led to it's downfall.

I've read a couple of articles theorizing that the new owners will kill the Chrysler brand and just save Dodge & Jeep.  There are only two models wearing the Chrysler name these days and one of them is a minivan.  The name currently carries more weight as the title of the corp than as a vehicle.

A little history:

Actually, the heart of Chrysler Corporation was ripped out when Daimler took over.
I know, I worked there 37 years. I saw the before and after changes!

If it wasn't for the Fiat deal, Chrysler would have ceased to exist.
President Bush started the deal, Obama saw it through. 
NOBODY wanted Chrysler back then.   NOBODY.   That's a fact.
Mitt Romney had campaigned to let us go under.
One reason he lost in Michigan.

The Sergio-Fiat deal was the only game in town...

Chrysler is/was more than imperfect and all makes have their problems, but Fiat's were widely known as serious problem cars and to be avoided at all cost. That reputation is why they could not sell enough cars and had to leave the US market in the 80's. That's the reputation that is burned into my mind as well as many other grouchy old codgers. To have had the name "Fiat" merged with "Chrysler" was just .......really intolerable.

At least "Stellantis" doesn't have that baggage, although it sounds a lot like "Atlantis", and we all know what happened there

The biggest purchase after a house is a car.  In fact, over your life time, many cars!

AMD makes repro sheetmetal.  But it's possible to find US-made original stuff if you are willing to spend the money.

Those aftermarket Chinese cylinder heads are nice, but the originals could be ported.  Etc.
