I've got a '66 and have been toying around with putting the big ass 65 Hemi-style scoop on it, but wonder if there is something that would look better.
Anyone got ideas - and pics?
Sixty-eights look great and the '69 is fine.

My buddy had a 66, he put a low profile louvered scoop off of a similar year mopar on it. It looked right at home.

I like the look of the 67 style Super Stock scoop like Fastback Jon has on his red car or Big Sugar has on his white one.  A few others are using that style too and it looks at home since it was used on the 67 Coronet WO cars.

I like that one. It's huge, though - especially if painted gold to match my car.

I can't find a decent picture of it, but the scoop I mentioned previously is the 67 coronet R/T scoop.

Which of course begs the question, do you want a functional or decorative scoop?

Headrope

You mean people actually put those things on and leave 'em blocked off? :stirthepot:
Functional.

You anti First gen guys and closet Chevy/Ford fans can speak up too. I'll likely make my own scoop; just need a design to work off of that would look natural on a first gen Charger.

You can't just "un block" the '67 Coronet R/T hood "scoops". It is actually just a decorative piece that bolts to the top of the hood. Not supposed to be any kind of scoop at all.
