Satellite style dash and 71 up style console. Overall, a very nice looking car. Same style r/t hood that I'm using on my bird clone. ;D

I was the top bidder on it and talked to the guy a little on it. He says he bought about 15 years ago already done, it is a Satellite vert, has the right wing bracing, all of the nose, fenders, hood, and wing are metal -- but doesn't know the who/what/where of it, and I forgot to ask is the headlights were operational.

I like the car -- but I would have gotten the Superbird seat overs with the silver piping -- had it been me.

That Bird is most impressive!  Out of my league. That  one will reach $60,000.

this is a real nice car but i don't dig convertables as much as hard top wing cars. just my two cents

So is it the real owner selling this car or some scam artist that took pictures of it at a car show?   :scratchchin:

Isn't this the SB vert that was sold at the fall nationals for ~$115K. I think this guy is going to have to take a bath on the price....too bad, nice ride!!

Even a year ago, I would have thought someone insane to pay 60k for a vert bird. Even one this nice. My how things have changed in just one year.

I can't say for sure because I never exchanged more than one email with him. He appears to know aboiut the car -- so my initial guess is that it is his. However, If I was more interested, I'd be talking to him on the phone to pick up vibes.

The guy tried to flip this car on Ebay a months after he bought it at the nationals . It only got up to $78K. whoops!

Do you know how much he paid for it at the Nats -- and when he bought it?

I'm not a Vitamin C kinda guy -- but it looks good on that vert.

I talked talked to a guy who was in the same area as this vert  in the show. He said the asking price was $115K. The guy spent some time negoiating with the owner, but he doesn't think he paid too much less than that for it.

I cannot be 100% sure this is the same car, but there aren't too many SB verts in existence. Especially with that hood and the pistol grip automatic. I have been watching them as I want to do a matching SB vert and boat project after I sell the Hemi Chally Vert (not quite done yet even).

BTW, Welcome to D-C.com,  BK!!

Notice this car has a "buy-it-now" for $125K. What do you suppose his chances are since it never got above $80K in the two previous auctions?
