My Superbird has lost its under-hood insulation at some point. Where's the best place to get an OEM look replacement from?

Thanks in advance.

Did it have the J55 option on fender tag or Broadcast (build) Sheet :scratchchin:

As noted by HH, if it didn't have full factory undercoat it didn't get a pad. Bought mine of Ebag, properly formed but had to buy correct steel retainer clips separate. Don't remember the seller, but could dig through my bills if need be. Mine..

Thanks guys! No it doesn't have it on broadcast sheet. Didn't realise that was a special option. Thank the Lord though. One less thing to chase/buy  :2thumbs:

For anyone looking for a correct molded style hood insulation pad, there is only two different manufacturers of these pieces.  That would be REM and Repops.  From what I have seen, the REM pad is more correct.  The reproductions are not quite as thick as the originals, but once installed, they look good.  There are a number of die cut pads out there, but they are just a generic black or yellow fiberglass material cut to the proper external dimensions.  They are not molded and have none of the details of the OEM molded pads.

That bumps my brain Richard, mine is an REM pad. Looks and fits nice although it it a very fibrous material that easily crumbles and falls apart. I actually sprayed it (light mist) with clear to mat it together. The tight hump that takes a clip in the back passenger side of the pad cracked because the pad is so crumbly and brittle. I had to bond it back together and had success with some contact cement. As noted above I couldn't believe REM ships with plastic clips!  :brickwall:
