If a charger is a dart in Brazil, what's a dart look like?

Armudster

A Dart is a Dart, lol. Or as we say in Brazil, a Charger without the grille, fancy interior and c pillar extensions.

Saw this on Utube. Maybe somebody can translate some details of this car. WINGNUT

It took that long? Is there any D.O.T stuff you have to do? I recall cars from Japan had to have a list of modifications

It took a long time because of the second wave of Covid, port and warehouse workers are at lower capacities.

Wow, I always thought of port everglades as Lauderdale rather than Miami.  Learn something new every day.  Used to have a big farm out west in davie.  Not that way anymore.  just looked and the ponds we had were filled in, new ones appeared, even the driveway where I got my grandfather's car up to 60 mph before locking and sliding across the lawn at the end is gone.  I was 11 or 12 at the time and his idea was to give us the keys to the car, the keys to the tractor and tell us to occupy ourselves.  So are the pastures where he told us to go drive after seeing us slide on our 6o mph jaunt up the driveway.  Those were the days.

Well almost, my father's friends talked about other days when they did things that sounded like they were straight out of the movie porkies.  I heard their stories before that movie appeared so it always made me wonder.  the quote I remember was "I'll never forget the sound of barbed wire stretching"  Apparently they told kids at school there was this girl.... and when they brought them to the old farmhouse, they had someone there with a shotgun ready to meet them and scare em.
I loved that place and am sad when I think of how much it has changed since the 70's.  I'm sure my dad is sad to see how much it has changed since the 50's.

All that from port everglades.  where the power plant would draw the manatees.  Are they still there?

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

No modifications necessary due to the age  :-)

any updates?

Carsten
The car is here in Tampa, safe and sound in my garage. I am only waiting on some documents from the import company so that I can register it with Florida and get a tag. Then the first order of business is to take her out for some photos :-)

Hopefully the docs come next week and I can get an appointment at DMV within a few days of that........

Edit:  Once the docs arrive and the DMV approves everything, I will also add a follow up review about the import company (Losada), and if all the docs were correct to make DMV happy. And of course I cant say enough positive things about Armud, and what a HUGE help he was in this entire process. Without him, this would not have happened.

ok, so after drawing the short straw at DMV the first time and getting the wrong clerk, I finally got the extra documents they wanted and as of this moment I have a Florida title and license plate in my hand!!!! I'm pretty excited to finally be able to drive this car.

It is currently at Harwoods shop getting a once-over and getting dialed in (in Brazil they have super high ethanol content so the carb was WAY out of adjustment)

Hopefull in a week or 2 I get it back and can post some photos out in the real world.......

I'm really digging that car. Beautiful lines. Would love to snag one of those myself.

IMO the brazilian Chargers are the coolest foreign Mopars, they were based on the A Body Darts, and had v8s on all of them (318). The interiors were all changed for our models as well.
Yes, they definitely have that late 60s Dart look to them.

That is one of the coolest cars I've ever seen. I'm 50 miles from Tampa and maybe someday I'll see it's at a show

I got the car back from Harwoods today, and I am going to try and get her over to the Bay Life car show on Saturday. Its too late to actually put her in the show, but will be there in the parking lot........

Pretty much is a 69 Dart GTS with a front face/header and elongated Sail panels coming from Mexican Darts design. That's how Brazil made their Charger version. And Rallye interior
