Drove up the thruway one exit to Catskill NY this morning for their 2nd annual close down Main St. kinda car show.

It's named for a local car enthusiast that died awhile back.     It was hot as hades today.

1.   Can you guess which of these cars are winners?
2.   Block off road... invite cars... have a party.
3.   It was this hot out... the chick on the right was hot too but I didn't get a real good pic.
4.   I actually thought it would be OK while the car was in the shade.     That didn't last.

GTO, GTO, GTO, GTO.   Notice a pattern?

The name sake of the show had the black 70 GTO.   They brought his car out.   Kinda sorta like a Unlawfl deal.
The orange one is my friend Fred's,  the others... whatever.

Did you guess?

1.  Winner.
2.  Winner/Winner
3.  Suddenly winner/winner doesn't seem as cool as it was  :P
4.  3rd place modified class winner.... ME!

1/2/3.     Road Runner from Albany.   Sweet 383 / 4speed car   :)     Not many Mopars of note today   :'(    Lotsa GTO's tho  ;)

Beating feet the heck outta there down the Thruway home to avoid severe thunderstorms that tried to kick up just as they were starting to hand out the trophies.
Ran thru a 2 minute squall.     The car's dirty but it got in the garage before the real nasty stuff came down....

That's about all for now.

Your instrument cluster looks really good. Did you re-sticker them?

I didn't.   That's the way I got the car from the other guy... at least that came out better than his body work  ::)   I just polished the plastic lens with stuff from autozone when I did the RBYJ tach the other month.

great pics, i give you alot of credit. it's to hot to take any of the big blocks to a show. the car would be fine but i'll overheat.   :nono:
