So question is How could you PROVE this was a 1969 Charger and not like a '70 coronet or '68 Satelite?
- No dash VIN
- No doors/door posts
- No radiator support
- No trunk rail
- And dates on Rearend and steering box can't be used as they are removable

All you could do to tell it was a Dodge and not a Plymouth is to look at the front spring hangers.   Long for Dodge, short for Plymouth (?  I think... not enough coffee yet ).

Somebody would use this for a re-body.  And if you're that far gone... it doesn't matter.
Black Betty:  1969 Charger R/T - X9 440 six pack, TKO600 5 speed, 3.73 Dana 60.
Sinnamon:  1969 Charger R/T - T5 440, 727, 3.23 8 3/4 high school sweetheart.

At this point why would it even matter ?
The base will work for all the B body cars

I see cruise control on the direction lever handle
Does that look like the Dodge Charger set up ?

think it is / was a 68 or early build 69  Charger, up to an earlyish  1969 SPD ,  original 318 or 383 two barrel car, could of even been  a slant six  originally
has a V8 K frame  ! so prolly was a 2 barrel V8  :scratchchin: :popcrn:

 - Brian - huh...didn't know that about front spring hangers...wonder why their diffrent
- 70 Sub - it's just an acedenic question, personally I see only like $800 tops in parts from this
- Daytona - good point!
- Wingnut - would that prove it IS or isn't a charger?
- Tan - It probably is, I'm just wondering when you get it down this far is it possible to tell?

wheelbase. Shorter on Plymouths... 116", vs 117" on Dodges. EVEN WITH MISSED FRONT CLIP, the 1" diff is on rear, not in front. Just would need to get the measure from firewall or somewhere else common to both.

70... ign switch on steering column ( being optimistic on is the original one yet )

Now... about if Charger or Coronet...

If there is no indication that the reinforcement plates were ever there that would prove it is a Charger. Also the round hole in the middle of the rear cross member is prove its 68-69, in 70 the hole was oval. WINGNUT

well i came to the conclusion it was a 68 or not a late  1969 build 69 Charger  & 2 barrel V8 because
1 hole in firewall for headlamp vacuum lines
2 rear seat belt outer bayonet part mounting bolt location  - 68 & 69 charger only
3 not a late 69 build SPD because it does not have the 2 extra floor pan plugs , making the floor pan  68 & early 69s only
4 no left hand exhaust hanger bracket means  not 4 barrel
5 car looks like it was originally light green then painted yellow , rear cross member has two spots of yellow ?  paint ? roughly  where the back up lights would have been removed for a repaint & the yellow went in the holes , although they do look a bit far apart though  maybe .....  :P ;)

Oval rear hole is running change in 69. "Early" 69 cars are round "late" cars are oval. Research indicates change over in January depending on the plant.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

Along the rocker it looks like the door length could be measured, are Charger doors unique in length?

Door panels, are interchangeable, glass and window trim are the same for all B bodies same as the sill molding, so I guess doors are same lenght
