Clear Distance

1968 Charger R/T
I haven't put the hood on yet and can't budge the hinges.
I would like to know the distance from the firewall, along the horizontal surface of the inner fender, that the hinge reaches when closed.
I plan on moving the windshield washer water tank as close to the hinge as I can to provide mounting room between it and the horns.

Should be able to make a close approximation by measuring the hood from the rear to fwd bolt hole for the hinge, add for any extra hinge structure and there ya' go!

When I get the car off the front wheel ramps and I can reach and see.  Right now it looks about 20 inches.
I want everything I can get.
