Given your wants, I believe you might want to look more closely at a 4bbl car having all your other wants.

With a 4bbl 4 spd car you will be able to shop around. With a 6bbl 4 spd car of your requirements you have much more limited options.

:iagree:  sounds like you are looking in 4-speed 4bbl or automatic 6bbl money

I'm going to guess that there were originally 25-30 FJ5 cars built like you desire.

Given an unlimited amount of time you may be able to find it, or not.

I want a 1970 Dodge flower bowl for $ 35. Doesn't even have to have the box. I'm not holding my breath.

I spent years looking for mine (V Code 4-speed) and spent a few grand flying to various parts of the County looking for one that met my standards including matching numbers, original sheet metal and solid history.  I finally purchased the one in my signature about 10 months ago.  I paid more than your budget and is was a 75% complete project.  A six pack 4-speed FJ5 sold at Barrett Jackson in January this year for $315K.  I was there and saw the car.  Definitely not perfect and I think outside of the the typical market value for these, but there were at least 2 people who would pay that amount.  Deals can be found out there but I think $150K for a finished 440 six bbl Bird with numbers is unrealistic.  Good hunting and best of luck.

What you want does not exist at 150K.  Numbers matching E86/D32 with FJ5 is more realistic...good luck finding one for sale.

And it needs 10-20K to strip it and repaint it the original color.

like mentioned . I think $150k for a DONE and done nice  limelight 6 barrel 4 spd bird is a very tall order. I'm not saying it cant be found.,,,, but you will have to be either very lucky or in the right place at the right time to get it done

The color and drivetrain combo is pretty much top dog in the wing car world

Bench seat car sold for $151,800 includes buyers premium.

No mention of matching numbers or build sheet, so assume they are not and sheet is missing.   Might not matter to the OP but in my opinion, these items are worth a 20% -30% premium.
