In 2012, I had some work done by Troy Thornton of Thornton Reproductions in Quakertown PA (there are a number of different Thornton's there - I believe all related).  I have heard that depending on what you are after, it can be good to be with a brand specific shop.  In Thornton's case, their passion is Oldsmobiles but I think they are quite good and might be a starting point on the other side of the state.

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

If your going to have a shop do the resto, which isn't a bad choice, I hope you have very deep and very full pockets

Had my bodywork done at Pro Comp Customs as well... brought it home to finish because my pockets weren't deep enough  :P but they did a really nice job and Bruce does great paint work.

I read when AK said that and almost added the original poster can not have very full pockets already because he has a Charger
I think the opening post has had the last two lines added since this thread started

I needed to stick to a number and struck a deal related to what could be done for what I had. It never was a cheap option.

A big part of my assessment was on whether I could trust the people I was dealing with.  It turned out I could.  They stuck to the cost and I stuck to the agreed payment plan.

Totally Auto was the Mopar king at one time very well known, Their work featured in Mopar Muscle Magazine many times
almost like Graveyard Carz without television, They also had a mopar parts division.
I had called a few years back someone answered I left a message with her and received no return call, I then emailed and crickets.
Being the pain in the ass that I am I went there. A couple of challengers were behind an eight foot fence and no activity otherwise.
A few months later I ran into a guy that owned a shop and now in his seventies he works part time for someone else
he had told me they were in limbo with location or some crap but if you google them it's permanently closed   :rotz: maybe due to
The fact that this business goes back many years like 30 maybe 40+ in this type of trade probably hard pass on  :shruggy:
