No surprise.

I didn't care for what my parents liked!!
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

As far as i know ! looks correct to me

B31 = 11 drums
B51 = power booster ( midland ross )   drum brake booster  ( except hemi )  j codes had a bendix booster.

if power discs  would read
B41 =  disc brakes
B51 =  power brake booster ( bendix)  all engines

i await to be corrected  :cheers:

Ok cool, wasn't sure , wanted to get clarification.

Im not sure the asking price is going to happen,,,or could it ?

Ive been up close and personal with the very car several times over the years,Bob actually tried to trade me for my 69 GTX conv one time If I threw in boot money. I never persuade that idea to really find out what he was thinking said boot money was going to be.  :slap:

I personally dont think the car is 100% dead nuts correct . But its close .

So, anyone dare take a stab on how much its worth in todays market ??????
I know for a fact Sharon turned down in the mid 300K range for it at least twice. But thats been some time and have my doubts it would pull that today, BUT then again Ive been wrong before

Personal opinion is that this car is a $245-260 car in todays market. No way it is close in value to the car Geno had, or the one MoparJohn is selling. To put in perspective those cars can both be purchased for $290k and $350k.

Its not even close to the same caliber of restoration.

hemi-hampton

If That Restoration was $100k in 1996, almost 25 years ago, what would that same Resto cost you nowadays? :scratchchin: :shruggy:

Not taking in account differences in restoration quality, history of sales have proven that 4 speed cars will often go for 15-25% more than it's automatic equivalent.

Beep Beep Dave

Its out of my league but it sure is a good looking car.

One look tells you that.    Killer color combo.   But a price starting with a 3?   Don't think so.

Send it to Mecum in Kissimmee next February.

I was wondering the same thing

From that under the car picture from the back the gas tank has been painted and under side of the car is not painted body colour ?

Either the tank is empty or the fuel gauge doesn't work.

Looks like a nice car, but is that a spray foam gasket between the upper radiator and the upper tie bar? I don't believe I've ever seen anything like that before...

Definitely looks like a piece of foam stuffed in there to prevent under hood air from coming around the corner vs outside air coming through the nose... :shruggy:

hemigeno

The foam was used on Daytonas, to ensure air from the nosecone went through the radiator rather than having a "path of least resistance" around it.

There was a corresponding foam strip used at the bottom of the radiator-to-yoke gap as well.  From the original examples I've seen, a double-stack of foam strip was - at lest supposed to be - used on 3.54 / 4-speed cars like the Malcom's A4 car, which came equipped with the 055 2-core radiator.  Although the top tanks have the same overall dimensions, the 055's bottom radiator tank was skinnier than the 054 3-core (with the 055 having a larger gap on the radiator core side), so a single wythe of foam wasn't deep enough to span the gap and seal off the airflow.

I've not personally seen a yellow(ish) foam strip on an original/unrestored car, all I've observed myself was a black/charcoal colored (IIRC it was closed-cell?) foam strip.  But... I didn't see this car before it was restored in '96.  Maybe the restoration shop has documentation to back up what they used?   :shruggy:
