I'm getting this vide up not because the car ( which is amazing of course ) but because something about Mark Worman says around 3:25 min

The fumes makes hurt on his eyes

IS THIS REALLY NORMAL? or well, dunno if normal, but... good?

My car after the stroker build, made the same! Really it makes me cry and hurt my eyes when being around the exhaust! I am, or now, I was really worried about this after heard this from Worman!

Posted on engine section because I have tried everything on carb adjustment to "fix" this fumes "issue"!

Sure my car hasn't been on roads since May 2013, but hoping will be back along next year. I'm building the engine again using another's block after my block was "damaged" trying to square it up for 5th time, and want to know when setting up, this will be ... normal?

My stock 400 never did that, just after the stroker ( around 10.2:1 CR )

BSB67

Incomplete combustion.

Not good to breath.

Can be caused by several things.

If everything's in the tune is right, depending on cam overlap, it may, or may not be reduced, eliminated.

500" NA, Eddy head, pump gas, exhaust manifold with 2 1/2 exhaust with tailpipes
4150 lbs with driver, 3.23 gear, stock converter
11.68 @ 120.2 mph

XH29N0G

I remember it, but I got rid of it by advancing the timing so I could have a leaner idle.  Didn't realize the other things BSB67 points out.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

That's what I thought... it shouldn't be like that. And Mark Worman is happy with it! LOL

My cam is Crower 282HDP. Nothing extreme.
