For Sale - NY -   This car is a loaded and genuine 1969 Dodge Charger 500, with the very rare options of factory air conditioning, power windows, and the super desirable medium F5 green color; that some time in its life had a metal Daytona Nose, Wing, Fenders, and hood put on it. For many years it was fraudulently passed off as a Factory Air Daytona. There was a lot of Daytona sheet metal being sold in the early 70s from NASCAR teams -- and a quite a few Charger 500s had a fraudulent conversion performed on them. Most of the conversions were then passed off as real Daytonas, as Charger 500s were the only Chargers to start off with XX in the serial number, and the only two Chargers with the Aero rear window -- making it easy to pull off a fraud. Since then, a strong following (and cynical buying public) has weeded out most of the counterfeits. This is a very solid and straight car -- begging for a professional restoration to bring it back to its original glory. See the many detailed photos below.

Thats a real scumbag thing to do. Anybody who knows these cars,should know,that you could not buy a 500,or a Daytona for that price. If it looks too good to be true,it is. I think Dan can swing that price.

I've seen my Petty Blue Superbird listed on eBay twice.

About 5 years ago, my brother had a restore 57 300C vert that was for sale a Houston area broker. Some guy comes into the broker and tell him he has a customer interested in the car -- and can he take some photos. About four months later -- my brother gets arrested for fraud. Now my brother is a multi-millionaire that owns a large business that employees over 1500 people, and a very charitable Christian who has never been in trouble.

The car was sold on eBay to someone in Atlanta for $70,000 -- and this guy sends a Cashiers Check for $70,000 to the seller -- and the seller never gets back with him. He reports it to the police -- and they find out my brother owns the car. The cops treat him like shit -- and refuse to believe he doesn't know anything about it. The DA sort of believes him and drops charges. However, he now has an arrest record and has spent tens of thousands in legal fees getting the wrongful arrest expunged. Meantime -- everytime there's a classic car fraudulently sold -- the law comes to visit him. It is incredible the problems this has caused him.

That goes on all the time BK. I have seen about ten different posting that this has happened to them,on the different Mopar websites. I have never heard about it backlashing on the real owner,like what happened to your brother. That sucks. Theres way to many scammers invading our hobby.

Two people at Style got the same broken English Email that didn't answer any of their specific questions on the car.

Here's the reply to my email I sent to her stating that I was interested in buying her car.
