I sold my '70 back in Oct. and I'm not going to say I regret it but there was a hole that needed to be filled...well, I filled it! This baby came today from San Diego! I found it here on the site, # matching original paint, a time capsule...so happy!!!!

It needs some TLC for sure, but it is an AWESOME starting point!

Just tonight I found some 1973 road maps in one of the side pockets!

I actually preffer your old burnt orange interior too.. but this is an SE, which is a plus. And this seems to be an A/C car... right ?

The B/O interior is a two edged sword, looks cool and rare but Chalks easily and upper door pads are impossible to find.

Troy

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Are there different tires on the two sides of the car?  I was just looking and one side said firestone, the other unaroyal.  It made me wonder about dates on the tires.
Who in their right mind would say

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

AKcharger

Well done XH, yup Firestone on one side and something else on the other other. They are display tires I checked date codes, 2002 and 2005. They're deadly. Im buying my aluminum slots and tires back from guy who bought my old car those look awesome and are new

XH29N0G

I do like the letters and different from what I have seen for a while.  Aluminum slots are an excellent choice for the regular driving.

It is a beautiful car. I was interested in the car. Was disappointed when I saw sale pending but I am glad it went to a loving home! Congratulations

AKcharger

Thanks Kevnik, it's gonna have a great home! That car is incredible, I was preping it for paint and it still has its ORIGINAL CARPET and I'm convinced the side panels have never been off the factory plastic is untouched

My '70 project "Jigsaw" is an original FK5 model I thought it was a fairly rare color until I started looking around. Holy crap...I keep running into them!

the 70 registry site says 10% of production

Thanks BSB67!

Kern Dog

Thank you. I thought it was a popular color. F8 must be the highest percentage.  :eek2:
My red Charger is originally F8, a High School buddy had one in F8 and I almost bought one in 1983 that was F8.

AKcharger

F8...Green right. My kids say they survived in the highest numbers because they were camoflauged

XH29N0G

 :smilielol:  Thank you both.

A good way to start the day - but then I get to look forward to driving my F8 once I get through today (friday)

That is so wild to see two almost identical cars together that had fairly rare equipment.
