Just had a quick question about my rear shocks. I've seen lots of different styles and was just wondering if mine were original.

that's pretty tore up.. :-\

I read in the charger road runner coronet restoration guide that...
the standard chargers in '68 came with part number 2525039 in front and 2585617 in the rear. the muscle cars, rallye suspension and trailer towing package '68s used part number 2257883 and 2585618 which were actually avail. on all cars with the option code 625. For the heavy duty option in 1969 (S23) Monroes were original and that they were yellow,.. that's my recollection anyhow... mine are monroes H. D.s and their white.
you should get that resto guide by Paul A Herd. If ya don't already have it..

Haha yes it is. Do you like the sticker?  :P

Yeah I don't think these are original either. Everyone elses I have seen don't have a spring but instead have a little case. I don't know my shocks but I geuss that the originals are gas shocks and these are (insert fancy word for spring) shocks.

TO
I seem to remember a thread saying that coil or air would kill the rear suspension handling and stuff.
I don't think they are original

I tried to find the thread but am striking out.
here's one though

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Thanks mike, that helps a lot.

Strat, I played drums for a long time and made it into a band. Played some local shows but that's it. Guitarist moved away and I just stopped. I need to sell them.

a good drummer is worth his weight in gold..
think about it...

Haha thanks man. And the drum kit is a Pearl 5 piece kit, color is Charcoal grey. I've got some stuff that would have the model number or whatever if you are interested. I think they were a bit over $900 new and are now 3 years old. The snare drum will need new springs and head, the bass drum will need a new front head, but other than that they are pristine.

Oh..okay...I have Tama Starclassics...over 9,000 bucks invested in drums, hardware, cases, effects rack, etc.   I'm wanting to buy another kit for shows that we do in the weather elements.  The salt air can really take it's toll here on the 3rd coast.  I dare not take my kit  or any of our equipment to the beach  or close to it...lol
