A bit rough, but someone who was a fan of the show will sure be thrilled to have a chance at this.

It's got factory AC but there's an under-dash unit too.  In one of the DVD extras Bruce Campbell told a story about that.  He said he was always sweating like crazy inside the Charger.  Then one time Jeffrey Donovan made an offhand complaint about it, and the car got A/C installed immediately.  


I was always surprised they kept 14" wheels on that car.  Most people would say 15" looks cooler.  More aftermarket choices, disc brake kits, the local stores have tires on the shelf, etc.  The General Lee traditionally used 14" wheels (most of the time) but Warner Bros switched all their GLs over to 15's in 2005.  

I wonder what axle gear is in there.  318 isn't a lot of muscle.  They did spin the tires & fishtail around on that show.

Great show! If I had disposable income I would definately try to own that. Curious what it will sell for. Up to $7700 now.

He bought it for 21 or 22k from Ted Vernon after the show ended. It's been under a car port for most of that time and is showing some additional wear so it has held it's value more or less. LOTS of hidden and not so hidden rust on that car. Where's the cowl?

  I saw this car in person about 10 years ago.  The person that setup and painted the car for the series is in Southwest Ranches, FL. a few minutes from where I live.
  His company supplies vehicles for movie productions.  The car is an ok driver with 318.  White interior sprayed white.  A good friend of mine, a collector of 71 - 74 Chargers ,who also lives in the same town, down the street from vehicle company, sold him parts for the Charger.  He also at one time sold him a 74 Charger.  That particular car; the whole backend was all rusty.  Very well could be the same car that is on the auction.  However, more than one Charger was used in series.  In the end, it's a car with history used in a television series which makes it valuable.
