It was just me and the wife, she was a great help!!

Couldn't slide off the tranny so decided to take both out at the same time!!  We worked as a team and layed it down on the pallet!!

Tonight will be degreasing the bay area, tomorrow removing the rest of the wires and next week removing the front suspension and replacing all of the bushings!!

;D

Here are some pics!!

May I suggest using a Mother's Powerball with some polishing compound on your engine compartment before painting it. I used it on my car and was very happy with the results. The engine bay cleaned up to nice original patina, not over-restored.

Already have a 440/727 with a 3200 stall ready for installation.

Whitehatspecial,

I was wondering what to do with the engine.  I was planning to degrease it tonight and was going to repaint the bay next week.

Looks like I am going to use Mothers Powerball

Nice pics Manny. Keep up the good work.

You'd be surprised at the results (I am not a Mother's salesman). The white residue on the firewall will polish up really nice. You just have to be careful around your wires and lines. Overwise your engine bay looks pretty nice and the polishing results can be impressive. You'll also save time and money.
I have some Cragar Mark VI aluminum wheels that came out very nice using the same powerball.

Big Lebowski

My favorite re-install trick is, trust me on this...If you jack the back of the car way up in the air, tires on blocks w/ stands, the engine/tranny combo go in without scrathing your freshly painted radiator support. Also rent the engine trolley that cranks everything down. I've done it this way for about 11 Chargers or so since '83. Works every time.  Dude.
"Let me explain something to you, um i am not Mr. Lebowski, you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the dude, so that's what you call me. That or his dudeness, or duder, or you know, el duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing."
