Correct looking fuel pump and fuel line thread fitting size

Hey all,

I'm wanting to install a correct looking fuel pump, separator and fuel lines back on my Superbird.  But I'm a little confused as to the correct thread size on the fuel pump and the fuel line that threads into pump (other end clamped with hose to separator).

Is it 3/8" or 1/2" ?

I found what I believe to be somewhat correct looking fuel pump.  Description: carter fuel pump for a 1970 440 hp Cuda, Charger, GTX Roadrunner, Duster 3/8" fuel pump.  And I found the fuel lines with somewhat same description but the threaded end with the flair that would screw to the pump is 1/2"

Thus my cunfusing....  :shruggy:

Thanks for any help

They are almost impossible to find. And when you do they want outrageous money for them. IE http://www.bradsnosmopar.com/no70440hpfup.html .     I wanted to do the same with my 440 6bbl bird.  I ended up getting an adapter to  meet the 3/8 fuel line ( to supply the fuel separator and the carbs).  I had to slightly bend my original fuel line.  If your not doing a concourse resto...I don't think anyone will care or know and the aftermarket fuel pump is like 25 bucks!  My cheap ass Auto Zone pump works and looks fine.  Good luck

This is the fuel pump I got for like $38 and the female threaded coupler is 3/8" thread.  I also just received the 2 fuel lines (small - pump to separator and larger - separator to carb) and the male couplers are 1/2" threads

Both had pretty much the same description as to what they fit.. 440 eng, GTX, Duster, Cuda ect.  Obviously one of their descriptions is wrong.  I'd like to send one back, just want to make sure I keep the correct one and replace other with correct one.

I will say that the smaller fuel line (pump to separator with 1/2" male thread) does not line up with the separator even if it did screw together at the pump.

Yeah I guess I could use a step down coupler from 1/2" to 3/8" if I have to.  Would just like to get as close to factory look.

You never said what engine you have and it changes the style of fuel pump.  The pump you show is incorrect for any 1970 BB mopar.  The line out doesn't have threads, it has a hose barb like the inlet.

AHHH.. NO.. not if it's original and correct. Threaded outlet for vapour separator and / or metal line to carb.

I'm sorry,  It's a 440-4

Summit has this pump, a Carter Muscle Car Mechanical Fuel Pumps M4845.  Wasn't this close looking to what an original looked liked and used with an adapter on the outlet to vapor separator ?
