so when i pulled my 3.91's out of a mid 60's dodge pickup for my charger...what will i need to make this work in my charger ( i already have the 8 3/4 housing and axels) someone told me that i will need differetn u joints? idk

depends , there are 2 differnt U joints the 7260 & 7290 , the 7260 is 2 1/8 " inside the ears of the yolk where the straps bolt on & the 7290 is 2 5/8"
if the driveshaft & yolk measure the same nothing needs to be changed out , if they are different there is a conversion U joint from Precision that is 7260 one way & 7290 the other
