67-70 center consoles

were the original center consoles made from fiberglass? I have one and am trying to determine if it is original or not.

I don't think from fiberglass.....more like injection molded plastic

I thought the 66/67 were way heavier, could those have been made from fiberglass? Agreed that the 68-70 is plastic

We had a 67 Sport Furry for a while
Yes the console looks the same but what ever it was made out of was twice as thick and a lot stiffer material than the one in my 69 Charger

The 68-70 ones were plastic and they were too weak for the job.

Yup, the B body consoles are ABS.  Too light, too thin for the job.   Dino's liquid ABS trick works for repairing them.
