Overpriced as it sits.  No enclosed trailer this listing.  What do you all think the body is worth?  
Without the body I think you would be hard pressed to get $2500 for that car as a loaded roller with a small block.  It looks like possibly an old Winters superspeedway quick change is the best part of the car.  
The cut safety bell will keep you off most tracks.  Damaged paper air filter and no carb stud, very poor pedal and brake set up etc.  Looks like whoever did the body was not there when the rest of the parts were thrown on.

Tubular control arm is typical.    Just not Mopar torsion bar style.

I don't know how you'd build a running car and drop a Charger body on it for less.

Easy: Start with another car, remove the body, lengthen the wheel base, find a 72 Charger body, tin it in, and do all the labor yourself counting it as zero dollars along with the thousands of dollars of tools that you also don't factor into the cost equation

Would not need to change the length, the one on ebay here looks to be about 108" wheel base.

My estimated worth of the car may be far lower than most due to the fact that I am not a fan of wannabe Mopar stock cars with GM chassis and GM power and in my area a GM chassis like that are cheap.  My question is what is the value of the that 72 body?  $1000 $1500 more? or less?  And if $8500 is not unrealistic in some areas for that car what is an all Mopar running stock car worth?

Used stock cars are cheap for sure, but if you want one with a 3rd Gen Charger body the pickin's are slim. If you want to build the duplicate of this car, I think this is a reasonable assessment:

$5000 Fair condition street stock runner
$1500 Useable 3rd Gen Charger body
$500  Transport, taxes, gas, etc.

You have $1500 to mount the body and bumpers, tin it, paint and everything else to equal this $8500 asking price. This factors your labor at $0. Joe Public who wants a Charger Stock car is going to pay significantly more to recreate this car. 

I agree the GM running gear is a major turn off.

Thanks for the numbers, $1500 is realistic, I know of a gutted shell (no floors or frame) I want to make a fair offer on for one of
the stock cars I have.
