I have seen both colors in 68.  They supposedly used the blue which was leftover from 67, once that ran out they converted to orange.  If the motor appears to have the blue paint, I would keep it the same.  Totally auto can confirm that and provide the correct paint, it is pricey but high guality PPG paint in spray can.
