Is this correct for a 69 charger? I saw it on e-bay. I thought they all had the black and said "FUEL"

thats for a 68 , it will work though . the cap with ( FUEL) on it was used on 69 & 70 models.

Yup, '68 cap there. I'm pretty sure the '68 Barracudas have those too.

That's a very popular thing to do on ebay is advertise multiple years because it widens the audience.  Like if I just punched in 69 fuel cap, that very well might come up.  So you gotta know what you are looking for when it comes to Mopar parts cause I got burned a couple times on my 69 Road Runner cause I didn't know exactly and they advertised it as fitting my car.  A lot of the sellers don't really know the right application as well, cause I usually asked questions and got the oh yeah, it's the right one, blah, blah.....

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

That's another one of the reasons why this site is so helpful to us noobies! ;D

FYI, the seals on the old caps DO wear out.  I just bought a brand new one for my car since my fuel tank got water in it during heavy rains recently.  I'd be more than happy to sell you my decent old cap/ring but honestly for $130 you're better off with brand new.
