69 Charger low load flasher for LEDs

Good morning all.  I was wondering if anyone with a 69 Charger who has updated all their blinkers, tail lights/ parking lights and needed a low load flasher, what did they use.  The hazards are the same flashers (2 prong style) my 67 has and they work fine.  The turn signal flasher Is different. It's some goofball 4 prong style and I have not found anything that will cross over to a low load LED flasher.  If you have done this change, what did you use?

Thanks!

Ok, my memory was wrong.  I pulled the flasher and it's a 3 prong.  The hazards are a 2 pin which was easy to find. I will post a picture of what I pulled out. Let me know if it's not the turn signal flasher relay But it was the only other I could find under the dash.  The prong configuration is a real oddball

That is a time delay flasher for the ign key courtesy light... and some other courtesy lights in many other cars. Some cars also get the fasten seatbelt light also controled by that, including into 90s Mopars

Stock Turning and hazzard flashers works exactly the same, two prongs making a 90 degrees angle. It can be interchanged in fact. The ONLY diff is the hazzard flasher is able to handle more load due the quantity of bulbs to control so they usually get a green stripe to indicate is a high load flasher to make it diff from the regular turning one. Althought on our cars, if still factory hazzard flasher is present is tipically being squared while turnings is the regular round one. But just the load handle is the difference. You can interchange and will work the same but a turning flasher into the hazzard plug will fail sooner

About leds flasher. They use to be labeled as ELECTRONIC... or something like that. Sorry, I can't talk more on this. Never have researched for info to this since by the moments leds are not in my interest.

Thanks Nacho.  So what you are telling me is I am looking at the wrong thing  :brickwall:  Lol.  I guess I can put it back in now, hahaha.  Well, the good news is, if it's the same flasher, I have one in the garage I bought as a spare so I should be good.  I just have to find where the little devil is hiding now. The ignition light dimmer doesn't have a part number and was the only other cylindrical thing I could find under the dash. Sounds like I have something to do after work tonight.

Thanks for the feedback.

I just can tell where is on 3rd gens... but not on earliers.

is the "same flasher" ? mmm, not exactly, it fits and works, BUT better if you try to get a heavy duty one. Sure will work for a while.

I think one flasher is under the dash to the left of steering wheel and the other flasher is by the ash tray frame ( may even be clipped to ash tray frame ) in my 69 Charger

I agree, that's where I usually find them.  :2thumbs:

Thanks guys.  The one by the ash tray is the hazard and I nailed that one.  The dimmer was on the right of the steering column which is why I thought it had to be the flasher.  I will check on the left side in a bit. 91 degrees and working under the dash, boy, that sure sounds like fun!

I found it tonight.  It was tucked way inside just under the IP.  I had to swap the red and block wires in the plug and bingo, it worked.  I also found a bulb out of the IP so it's good.  Hazzards aren't working again so I will hunt that down another time.

I broke off a wire on the hood signals after I was cleaning them up but judging by the crud and rust. I should probably replace them.  The wire is hard and brittle and the sockets don't make good contact with the housings....

If I haven't said it before, thanks for all your feedback.  I am learning to do all this myself and it's been a huge help.
