Does anyone have any info on the '69 RT/SE that is for sale on eBay?

Hi, does anyone have any good/bad info on this car?  I remember seeing this car for sale approximately 3-5 years ago from a well-known internet dealer and then it disappeared.  Then around a year later, +/- a few months, it appeared and was for sale again.  I can't remember if it sold or not, but since then it has been for sale a few times.

Anyhow, I was just wondering if anyone remembers this car and its history.  For example, the current owner states that the welds aren't the greatest of quality in the trunk and wheel well area.  So I am just trying to find out more about the car and whoever restored since I am interested.  Although for that amount of coin, I would like to know more about it, if possible.

Thanks!

Wow, I like the green with the tan interior. Reminds me of a Stealth RT/TT I owned years ago, in the same color combo.

They committed the greatest sin of all 69 Charger owners, filled the rear valance corners in!!!  (sarcasm)

And why did  they leave the driver side upper door pad loose?

like the Range Rover P38 I have in Spain right now. I searched for this combo intentionally ( well, darker green ). Love it!
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Looks like a low budget Resto, lots of flaws for the Price. I guess $40k tops :shruggy: :Twocents:

Paint sure needs a nice wet sand & rub to get rid of the Orange Peel. And what ever dirt is in paint :scratchchin: :eek2:

IMO, with an "R/T SE" Track Pack example, I think a big part of the price valuation, as much as it may be in overall "restoration quality" ? ... may be predicated in "authenticity" ?(Fender Tag/Broadcast Sheet/Numbers/History/Provenance).

Some issues with the restoration quality have been noted, ie: Trunk welds, bondo'd rear valence, etc., etc.?
that said,
I didn't hear any mention in the Video regarding Originality of a backing Fender Tag/B-Sheet etc., ?     other than admitted NOT Numbers Matching Engine.

Just saying here,
without far more provenance/History and verification ?
What's to say that this isn't very simply a green R/T very simply redone into an R/T "SE" and made to appear as a "Track PacK" with addition of the Dana and 4 spd with a repop Fender Tag ?

sorry man  what the other guys say !  :yesnod:

IMO   loads wrong  with this car , i would not even want it for nothing , so much needs to be put right & a couple of odd things , also a few things that my sound small & no biggie but if simple things like this are being missed left thats a 5 second job to do properly , whats the quality of work being done to more complicated stuff  :shruggy:  ,  look for another IMO ,

shame rare charger if it is the original car body option combination etc , it  needs doing properly  stripping doing down starting again !  ok if you just bought it for 10k  you would expect crappy work  but not for 70 plus

way WAY to much wrong with this car for that kind of money

1968Fever

I like this color combo but a lot of people probably do not.  If this car was something like factory black or silver it would probably sell for around asking.  That is the current state of the Charger market.

It looks like they took the time to paint the bottom of the car body color but left some of the body plugs in and painted right over them. Same with the door latches...

The undercarriage almost looks like it was painted with spray cans, inconsistant uneven coverage. Earl Scheibed.

Seller updated his post saying it's a $90k car & he's insulted at a $60k offer. Odd he doesn't show all the stuff that is wrong or missing or low budget on the Car. Most of the pictures so small, like thumbnails you can't see anything. coincidence? :shruggy: :Twocents: :slap:

FINAL HOURS!!!!

All I can say is thank you for the real interest I received on this car. It's been a pleasure talking with you.

For those of you that are hung up on numbers matching or think you can offer $60,000 for a $90,000 car than you obviously have no idea what you're looking at. This is a documented RT/SE Track Pak big block (440) 4-speed car, try to find another one. By the way, most of these car were driven hard and do not retain their original engines. On top of that RT/SE non-Track Pak automatic cars have sold on this site for $75,000 so if your genuinely interested and smart you'd buy this car now while you can. At an auction this car would easily sell at $85,000 since it presents very well.

I own the car and have the title. With that said I've put 800 miles on this car in almost 4 years, I'm ready to start putting some serious miles on this car so if it doesn't sell I have every intention of doing a Hellcat resto-mod conversion on this car. So if you're a purist, cringing, and it bothers you than buy it and make it your showpiece.

Best wishes and good luck!

What an assclown.
Pay my price or I'll do what I want with it.

Thanks for the input, fellas.  :2thumbs:  There were some flaws on it that I clearly missed, but you live and learn.
