mr. hemi

One thing that gets me about these, and many other "numbers matching" stamps, is they include the complete VIN. My '69 Charger R/T, a Hamtramck car, does not contain the XS29J on either the block or the trans, just 9B308***. I also have a '68 A833 18 spline trans stamped the same way. Now I have known of my car since 1976 and owned it since 1980 so reasonably confident of the stampings. Is this partial stamp a Hamtramck thing?
You know you are vintage when someone says, "Back in the day", and you can dispute their facts.

Mine is the same thing. Stamped with only the last 6 digits. Mine is the original motor.

as far as i know
early built E series 69 cars with a SPD of 1968  have the full vin stamped.
later built E series 69 cars , built in 1969 &  later  cars  F , G  series  etc , had the last 8 digits of the vin stamped only.

BUMP !

So apparently it was only a narrow 5 month production run of 1969 Models that had FULL VIN's stamped on the Engine and Transmissions.

My '69 R/T SE was produced Nov 23 1968.... and it has the FULL VIN stampings on Engine & Transmission
Only wimps wear Bowties !

I have a '69 RR A833 with full VIN stamp and my '69 Bee (Feb 25th car) just has the last 8.

As for this car.. what a cluster f in misrepresentation. Who's the dickweed that stamped the body numbers and trans (that is missing the milling cutter marks) with Lynch Rd A's and the engine and VIN are St Louis G's... :yesnod: Stamper must have worked in the Lynch Rd plant and transfered.. took his punch set with him!

Fender tag is a reproduction and I bet the door decal is purposely "aged" as well.

This car was a Fed seizure. I seen this car at an auction about 28 years ago. Then i seen it at a car show. I would not touch this car with a 10' foot pole.

Bad B-rad

I can not see but dose this car have torque boxes?

Bad B-rad

I don't see them on front, what about rear?
Shouldn't a Hemi 4 speed have them?

chargervert

Every stamping, tag, and decal that has anything with proving that this car us an original 1970 Hemi Charger R/T is fake and incorrectly faked too. This car is a poorly done figment of someones imagination!

Wonder what all the undercoating on undercarriage & inside Trunk is hiding. Looks like a Chevy Restorer painted the Brake Booster plate & Caster Camber access plates Green Body Color? :shruggy: :slap: Has the wrong Carbs. 69 Carbs with October 68 Dates. Perfume on a Pig :pigsfly:  LEON.
