the guys at PFI SPEED   do some clever stuff  with honda K series engines, i'm amazed the power they get out of them, i was taken to  PFIs channel by  cleetus mcfarland  & fasterproms , because the corvettes & ls power turbos / superchargers etc good entertainment  & interesting viewing , there are a lot of other good channels to watch linked with the two below, imo

HANDM

It's so bad I had to comment.

Quote "Theres no way a shop would ever do that which is why it's remained unnamed, I've seen a lot of hackery and this reeks of a car owner special and he's just too embarrased to admit it!"

The obvious give aways are the lego and the sheep, neither of those would be anywhere near a real shop. The owners kid was out there while dad was doing his hackage.

I've been a general contractor for a long time and every aspect of this build is "homeowner special" all the way.

Fun to watch though!

yes ! my thoughts too !
who ever done this has no knowledge of automotive working / assembling practices & what product available to use etc.
the products / fixing  used & just the look of it  does not even smell of  someone in the automotive industry , even  if a shop did this crappy work , the products , working practices are all wrong for a automotive shop , even if they were cutting  corners to make maximum profit .
the stuff ive had to put right over the years working as a mechanic , then body & paint  on customers cars was frightening sometimes. just goes to show whats out on the road  :scared: thats if they make it that far  ....

Not just rice. My current project car was supposedly owned and put back on the road by a "mechanic". You would not believe the hackery. Front brake cylinders leak? Put a clamp on the brake hoses! No trans mount? Piece of radiator hose and a clamp will do. Wrong oil pan for engine swap? Just torch off half the cross member. As for wiring.... im just throwing that away and starting over. No need to even begin to sort out that hackery.

Mechanical hacks can show amazing guts & creativity.

The stuff that gets messed up old cars . . . so many of those ideas wouldn't even occur to me.

It's partly just lack of guts.  I'm too wussy to risk getting killed over $16.
