Where does this part fit.

68 Charger R/T Console shift automatic transmission.
I took the console out many many years ago.
I am working on putting it in now and found this piece of Styrofoam on the gear selector, where I probably put it so I don't loose it.
I have no ides where it originally came from.
Any ideas??

Base of the gas pedal. That goes underneath. That's what it looks like to me anyway. I have one just like it I put in a bag again this afternoon.

I had a gasket kit and I hope I put what goes under the gas pedal, magically got there.
I couldn't see how it could possibly go with the console except for where I had left it.

Here's a shot of my original gasket. I see that it was glued down.
