Nacho-RT74

No, all what I posted are 73/74, same pieces from same manufacturer. There are not 71/72 available like this, just full quarter panel.

I do not need the whole quarter panel, just need behind the rear wheel.

Nacho-RT74

that area is the same for all 71/74

there was a seller called Autobodyspecialt who had those available loooong time ago, but searched and couldn't find them on their website ( they changed a lot since the last time I checked their website ).

But they can be home made thought.

AMD offers those for 71/72... I'm PRETTY SURE is the same for 73/74. You could use it maybe just right above the body line ( couple of inches ) to be sure. The only diff I think of is maybe the curvature for the wheel opening going to top section. 71/72 wheel opening molds are diff from 73/74. Aside the diff design between them I know the fenders are diff due the diff height of the opening, but can't tell about rears difference. I know outer wheel wells are offered just for 71/72 too.

The rake of the quarter panel is different for 73/74 vs 71/72, so a 71/72 will not work.

randy73

Rake is the angle, 71/72 go almost straight down and 73/74 line angles more towards the back.

Nacho-RT74

that could not to be true, because bumper is what finish the angle... and bumper interchanges all years meeting with body shape. Also valances interchanges. Optional mud flaps also fits all years. I'm pretty sure the patch panel is the same shape and just sidemarker would make the difference, so you can use it from half of the way between sidemarker and body line

I meant the angle of the wheel well, not the angle of the rear of the quarter panel. Should have made myself clearer.

Nacho-RT74

if you mean this angle ( being 73/74 like the red line ) I don't think is true. As mentioned, the optional mud flaps are the same for all 71/74. Trunk floor extensions are also the same ( in fact also with Plymouths ), and they meet with quarter all around.

I still think if not the full patch, you can use it partially. Dunno how much of the panel need to patch on your car but if need from bottom of body line, I'm sure you can use it from 2" or 3" from above the body line. And I still think the full patch can be used and if some difference, will be minor labor job.

I am pretty sure the 71/72 and 73/74 rear wheel opening molds are also interchangeable too... not the fronts, but just the rears. They got diff profile of course, but just talking about fitment. I don't have THE word on this thought. So far so good untill now I never have advertised a diff on that area between 71/72 and 73/74.

on this I'm just droping my  :Twocents:

Ok, it was my understanding the rear quarters were different between 71/72 and 73/74.

Nacho-RT74

Sure the full quarter ( or skins )  are, but about lower patches.... mmmm I think they could be used if not the same, specially rear one. Is hard to proove thought untill somebody makes it!

Talked to AMD, 71/72 quarters are different and 71/72 patch panels will not fit 73/74, as the rear wheel well are different angles.

Here is a link to 71/72, AMD does not make a 73/74.

Mmmm, well...

( I know nobody makes 73/74 patches )

I know, thank you for your time and knowledge.

randy73

AMD was going to make quarter panels, but has now scrapped the idea and Goodmark has discontinued their's. Leaves only Tabco and Chinese junk.

Nacho-RT74

I have allways though Goodmark was simply offering Tabco ones
