70 Charger hood pin cable routing - over or under bumper?

Would like to confirm if the 70 Charger hood pin cables were intended to pass over top of front bumper or under the top of bumper loop and through top of grille area? Most photos I found on-line support them going over top of bumper (yellow car in photo). Would love to see a few factory Chrysler photos if they exist. Last photo with pin cables over top of bumper is from a 1970 magazine review article.

70gtx440dana, You may want to rewrite your last line, ''pins over top of bumper" . ''Cable'' would be a better choice of word.
Your last black and white photo in the magazine article shows the passenger side cable going in between the hood and fender much clearer then on the driver side. :scope:

Geez...... I forgot about my factory drawing collection. Looks like between hood and bumper is confirmed.

Just make sure you put the 4 screws in the chrome ring on the hood in a square shape
