70 Charger 727 VIN sequence location

Hi guys,

I've owned my 70 Charger for 13 years and I have to admit I never bothered to check the numbers match until recently.

It all seems good but when it comes to the trans I'm not really sure where to look. Any pictorial examples I could see?

These are pics of the numbers. I didn't lift the rubber around trunk to check as it was glued down.

Oil pan rail number seems to end in correct numbers but man the rest are invisible...

Look for a flat pad on the passenger side of the bell.

Pretty sure numbers are important for any car to be "survivor" status,  I also think it matters for any of the high end cars like Daytonas, Superbirds, RTs, etc...but everyone has a different opinion.

I would disagree with that statement,

and I would suggest that Sale Prices would also corroborate a premium to 'numbers matching' in the marketplace on any vehicle.... but especially on R/T's Daytona's, Superbird's, RoadRunners, SuperBee's, 'Cuda's, Challengers and pretty much all performance/collectible examples with engines like 340's/383/440's etc. that retain their numbers matching components.
