73' Charger A/C Heater Control

Well, upon cleaning this I broke a tube on my 73' Charger A/C Heater Control.

Is this a much needed tube or maybe I can go without if it is for defrost & not the main vents?

It can be fixed. Drill a bit and glue a same size plastic tube. Somebody has made that same job for the RamAir switches. But those controls are still available NOS and not excesive expensive

welll it seems not anymore easy to find... made a quick search and couldn't find one of those like I was able quite ago
